How to Fix Sagging Doors and Hinge Wear

The door drags on the rocker panel or quarter panel when you open it, does not latch properly, and the gap between the door and body is uneven. It looks bad and sounds worse — that scraping noise every time you open the door is steel on steel wearing away at your body panels.
The cause is almost always worn hinge pins and bores. Classic car door hinges use a simple pin-and-bore design with no bushings from the factory.
